Columbus High’s girls bowling team finished first in today’s A-5 district tournament at Westbrook Lanes. 

The Discoverers punched their ticket to state by posting a total score of 2,863, more than 500 pins higher than second-place Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family. 

And CHS bowlers had the top three individual scores: Madison Henderson rolled a three-game series of 517, Zoi Goebel had a 485 and Alex Holdsworth posted a 465. 

Boone Central took third and Howells-Dodge finished fourth. 

The same schools’ boys teams, along with Grand Island Northwest, compete in the A-5 district tourney tomorrow at Westbrook Lanes, starting at 10 a.m.
