CHS Doubles Teams Win Once in State Tennis Tourney

Both of Columbus High’s doubles teams posted first-round wins before falling in round two of yesterday’s Class A state tournament.
In #1 doubles, Abby Loeffelholz and Logan Kapels won 2-1, but then lost in two sets to the third-seeded team from Westside. In #2 doubles, Taylor Loontjer and Sarah Lasso cruised to a two-set victory before bowing in two sets to the second-seeded team from Lincoln Southwest.
Sage Warner dropped her opening match in two sets to the No. 4 seeded player in #1 singles. Her Discoverers teammate Anna Ragonese fell in two sets against the No. 5 seed in #2 singles.
