CHS Boys Win, Girls Fall in Second Day of HAC Tournament

The Columbus High boys basketball team won, while the Discoverers girls lost in the HAC basketball tournament yesterday.

Hosting a consolation game, the Columbus boys beat rival Norfolk 69-59.  Quinn Freshour scored a game-high 16 points, Tanner Esch had 13 points and Jose Garcia came off the Discoverers bench to tally 12 points, all in the second half.  The win snapped a three-game losing skid and upped Columbus’ record to 3-5.
