CHS Boys Golf Takes Fifth in District Tournament

Columbus High’s boys golf team finished fifth in the A-4 district tournament yesterday at Omaha’s Benson Park Golf Course.

The Discoverers put together one of the better team scores of their season with a 342.  That was 15 strokes behind rival Norfolk which took third place to claim the last team berth at state.

No Columbus golfers qualified for the state tourney individually.  Keaton Barnes led CHS with an 81, just one stroke shy of punching his ticket.  Discoverers seniors Tyson Weber and Nic Kriech shot an 84 and 87, respectively.
