A day after the Columbus High girls bowling team swept the individual and team titles at the A-5 district tournament, the Discoverers boys turned the same trick today at Westbrook Lanes.

CHS won the district championship with a team score of 3,504, finishing 56 pins better than Grand Island Northwest.

Andrew Beck of Columbus posted the top individual score with a three-game total of 628.  His Discoverers teammates Joseph McFarland and Wyatt Schott were in the top six.  McFarland rolled a 565 to finish third, three spots ahead of Schott who tallied a 512.  CHS qualified for next week’s state tournament as a team.

Evan Haas of Howells-Dodge also punched his ticket to Lincoln individually by finishing in fourth place with a 544.
