CHS Basketball Teams Fall, Boys Subdistricts On Air Tonight

In high school basketball, both Columbus High teams dropped their regular season finale Saturday. 

The Discoverers boys fell to visiting Millard West 56-52.  It was the seventh straight loss for CHS, which finished the regular season at 5-17.  The Columbus girls were downed by the Wildcats 40-31, dropping their fourth in a row.  The Discoverers are 7-15 heading into this week’s Class A district tournament. 

Lakeview meets rival Scotus tonight in the opening game of the boys C1-6 subdistrict tourney at Leigh.  Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and you can hear play-by-play on KLIR 101.  Aquinas faces Twin River in the C2-8 play-in game tonight starting at 6:30 on KZ-100.  Also tonight, East Butler battles Central Valley in D1-3 subdistrict action at 6:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
