CHS Baseball Sweeps Home Twinbill vs. Grand Island

Columbus High’s baseball team swept Grand Island in a doubleheader at Pawnee Park Field last night. On Senior Night, the Discoverers needed 10 innings to take the opener 8-7, but only five frames to post a 10-0 victory in the nightcap.
Brent Beard went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs in the first game. In the second game, CJ Fleeman and Caleb Van Dyke combined on a one-hitter, while Sam Kwapnioski had three hits and three RBI.
The Discoverers will take a 15-13 record into their regular season finale today at Omaha North.
