CHS Baseball Goes 1-2 on Weekend, Hosts Kearney Today

Columbus High’s baseball team went 1-2 this weekend.  The Discoverers won at Bellevue West 8-3 on Friday night, but dropped both ends of a home doubleheader to Lincoln East on Saturday. 

In Friday’s win, Wyatt Swanson had a double and three RBI, while Jack Faust collected two hits, two runs and a pair of stolen bases.  On Saturday, the Discoverers bowed to the Spartans 14-1 in five innings in the opening game.  CHS was held to one hit in a 2-0 loss in the second game.  Columbus is 4-4 on the season. 

The Discoverers welcome Kearney to Pawnee Park Field for a 4 p.m. game today.
