CHS Baseball Falls in District Semifinals, Kernels Make State

Columbus High baseball’s season ended with a 3-1 loss to Lincoln Southwest in the A-3 district semifinals Saturday at Elkhorn South. 

The Discoverers finished with a 10-14 record. 

Central City/Fullerton/Centura has advanced to the Class C state baseball tournament.  The Kernels won a district championship with a 5-3 home win over Arlington last Friday, upping their record to 20-4. 

The Class C state tourney is set to begin this Saturday.
