CHS 8th As a Team, Lasso 13th at Kearney Invite

In girls golf, Columbus finished eighth out of 12 teams competing in the Kearney Invite last Friday. 

The Discoverers carded a team score of 373 at Awarii Dunes.  Sarah Lasso of CHS earned her first individual medal as a top 15 finisher in high school competition.  Her 18-hole total of 83 was good for 13th place. 

North Platte won the tourney by posting a team score of 295.  The Bulldogs’ Beylee Steele fired a 68 for the top individual score. 

The Discoverers will play tomorrow in the Lincoln Pius X Shootout at Woodland Hills.
