Chinander on His Unit’s “Trend That Has to be Corrected”

Nebraska defensive coordinator Erik Chinander yesterday addressed his unit’s need to improve against the opponent’s first drive of the second half.
He admitted that the Huskers “didn’t react as well as we should have” to Illinois’ halftime adjustments last Saturday. And Chinander says that’s “definitely a trend that has to be corrected. I hope the guys understand how important that situation is and how much intensity and execution has to be present on that drive.”
Nebraska hosts Fordham on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. The pre-game begins at 7 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
