Chinander Assesses Huskers’ Defense, Saturday’s Foe

Nebraska defensive coordinator Erik Chinander replied “not good enough” when asked yesterday how he felt about his unit’s performance after two games. However, he added it’s a young group that is hungry and Chinander predicts they’ll get better every week.
Saturday’s opponent, Georgia Southern, opened its season last Saturday by pounding Morgan State 59-7. The Eagles had 367 yards passing and four touchdown passes. Chinander says the Huskers will “have to make a few tweaks” in coverage and formations.
Saturday’s kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. The pregame begins at 2:30 p.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 6 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
