Central City Juniors to Play Sutton for Area Tourney Title

Central City edged Seward 11-10 in the B4 junior area tournament yesterday at Pawnee Park Field. 

Central City is 3-1 in the tourney and will face 3-0 Sutton today at 5 p.m. for the area title.  If Central City wins that game, a second contest will follow tonight to determine the champion. 

In the B5 junior area tourney, Albion shut out West Point 10-0 last night.  Albion is 3-1 and needs to defeat host Wayne, which is 3-0, twice tonight.  Shelby-Osceola-Stromsburg was eliminated from the C5 area tournament in Silver Creek last night, falling to Wood River 7-5.  Wood River needs to beat Palmer-Wolbach-Greeley twice tonight to win the championship.
