CCC Suffers Second Heartbreaking Loss in National Hoops Tourney
The CCC men’s basketball team suffered a second tough loss today in the NJCAA Division II national tournament.
The Raiders were shaded by Mott CC 58-57 after the Bears hit a shot from near the free-throw line with 2.9 seconds left. Central led the consolation contest 34-30 at the half. CCC’s Trey Deveaux scored a game-high 19 points.
The Raiders lost two games at the national tourney in Danville, Illinois by a total of three points. Head coach John Ritzdorf led Central to a 22-11 record on the season.
