Raiders Softball Sweeps Twinbill at Northeast CC

The Central Community College softball club swept a doubleheader against Northeast CC yesterday in Norfolk. 

The Raiders beat the Hawks 3-1 in the first game and took the second contest 6-3. 

In the opener, Kailee Pollard tossed a complete game, allowing one run on four hits over seven innings, as she improved to 10-5.  Central trailed 3-2 in the second game after allowing three runs in the bottom of the fifth.  But, the Raiders responded with four runs in the sixth.  Starting pitcher Andrea Palma gave up three runs – two earned – in five innings and had three RBI at the plate.  Addi Kudron finished with two scoreless innings of relief as CCC improved to 19-12. 

The Raiders visit McCook CC today for a doubleheader and will play another twinbill tomorrow at North Platte CC.
