CCC Hosts All-Star Games Tonight, Hires Men's Basketball Coach

Central Community College’s Raider Fieldhouse will be the venue for two high school all-star basketball games this evening, one day after the college named its next men’s basketball coach.

The annual CCC girls all-star basketball game tips off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys’ contest. Both games will be broadcast on 93.5 The Hawk.

On Wednesday, CCC tabbed Tyler Francis to replace John Ritzdorf, who stepped down last month to take the same role at Santa Fe College in Florida. Francis joins the Raiders after spending the last five years as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Kirkwood Community College in Iowa.

In the 2018-19 season, he served as an assistant coach at Rock Valley College in Illinois. Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball team at Wichita State, where he earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
