Cayton to Play for NU Women’s Hoops After All

After almost becoming a Husker out of high school in 2016, Mi’Cole Cayton will play for the Nebraska women’s basketball squad as a graduate transfer next season. 

Cayton announced via Twitter last night she’ll transfer from California to the Huskers.

The 5-foot-9 guard was part of NU’s 2016 recruiting class, but asked to be released from her scholarship after coach Connie Yori resigned. 

Cayton has been hampered by knee injuries during her time at Cal, missing all of last season. That likely means she’ll be eligible to play at least two seasons in Lincoln.
