Cardinals Down Dragons in Girls Subdistrict Opener

Boone Central will face David City in a girls basketball subdistrict semifinal tonight, followed by Scotus battling Lakeview. 

In last night’s C1-8 subdistrict opener at Lakeview, Boone Central downed Madison 49-23.  The Cardinals improved to 8-15, while the Dragons’ season ended with a 5-17 mark. 

In tonight’s action on 93.5 The Hawk, Boone Central meets the top-seeded Scouts at 6 p.m.  That will be followed by the third meeting this season between the two city rivals. 

The Vikings won at Scotus, 35-34 in the Columbus Holiday Tournament championship last December.  The Shamrocks returned the favor at Lakeview last Tuesday, edging the Lady Vikes 24-23.
