Cain Earns Her First Big Ten Player of Week Award

Nebraska’s Kate Cain was named yesterday afternoon as the Big Ten’s Player of the Week in women’s basketball. 

Cain erupted for 22 points, 12 rebounds and nine blocked shots to power the Huskers to a 63-55 victory over number 15 Ohio State on Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena. 

That earned the 6-5 center the first player of the week award of her career. 

Cain and NU are back in action today when the Huskers host Minnesota.  Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. with live television coverage by BTN.
