Bulldogs Romp to Force Deciding Game vs. Vandy Tonight

College baseball’s champion will be decided tonight by a third game in the College World Series finals between Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.

The Bulldogs evened the series at a win apiece with a 13-2 rain-delayed romp over the Commodores last night.  Vandy pitchers issued a season-high 10 walks, including three in a row by 17-year old starter Christian Little that fueled the Bulldogs’ four-run third.

Off the field, Vanderbilt athletic director Candice Storey Lee is condemning the use of racially offensive language allegedly directed at some of the parents of Commodores players during Monday night’s contest.  She called the behavior unacceptable and disgraceful.  Stadium officials said they are gathering information from event staff.

Tonight’s game is set for a 6 p.m. first pitch on ESPN2.
