Former Husker forward Bryce McGowens scored 24 points to lead the Charlotte Hornets to a 91-80 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Las Vegas.
McGowens hit 7-of-10 shots from the floor, including 5-of-6 from three-point range. He was also 5-for-6 from the free throw line. His 24 points were a team high and tied for most in the game.
The Hornets’ second-round draft pick added two rebounds and one assist.
