Brodersen Tied for Lead, Enderlin 8th at State

An area golfer was tied for the lead after yesterday’s opening day of the Class C girls state tournament in North Platte. Abbigail Brodersen of Boone Central shot a 6-over, 78 at Lake Maloney Golf Club.
Makenzie Enderlin had the top score among five Scotus golfers, as her 90 was tied for eighth. As a team, the Shamrocks carded a 419 to rank 11th out of 15 teams. Fullerton’s Dana Dubas shot a 103 and was tied for 39th.
In the Class A tournament at Norfolk Country Club, Columbus High’s Jacey Hughes was tied for 24th after shooting a 17-over, 89. Her Discoverers teammate, Ashley Warner, carded a 98, which was tied for 49th.
In the Class B tourney at Elks Country Club, Danica Badura of Aurora shot an even-par 72 yesterday and had a four-stroke lead. Scottsbluff led the team standings at 327, nine strokes ahead of Gering.
