Brockett Fires First Nine-Inning No-Hitter For NU in 70 Years

Jackson Brockett pitched the first nine-inning no-hitter for Nebraska since 1954, leading the Huskers to an 8-0 win over Kansas State last night at Haymarket Park.

It was the sixth individual no-hitter in NU history, the first since a seven-inning no-no in 1981.  Last night’s masterpiece by Brockett was just the second-ever nine-inning individual no-hitter for Nebraska.

In his first start of the season, the junior posted a career-high 12 strikeouts.

The Huskers are now 28-15 and will visit Minnesota for a three-game series starting tomorrow.
