Brackets Set for Girls-Boys Combo State Hoops
The brackets have been set for next week’s boys and girls state basketball tournaments.
In the boys tourney, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family will face Howells-Dodge in a C2 quarterfinal on Monday. Tipoff is set for 3:15 p.m. at Lincoln Northeast. It’s a rematch of last year’s D1 championship which was won by the Bulldogs in overtime. Also at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Riverside meets Loomis in D1 action at Lincoln North Star. Osceola’s boys will take on Wynot in a D2 quarterfinal Tuesday at 10:45 a.m.
The girls D1 tournament’s opening round will pit two area teams against each other, as Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family battles Nebraska Christian Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. at Lincoln Southwest. In Monday’s girls quarterfinals, Humphrey St. Francis faces Diller-Odell at 6 p.m. at Lincoln North Star in D2 action. In C1, North Bend Central meets Malcolm at 1:30 p.m., followed by St. Paul against GICC at 3:15. Both of those games will be at the Devaney Sports Center.
