Boys’ Tennis Bows Out of State Tournament

All of Columbus High’s boys tennis players were downed in today’s opening round of the Class A state tournament in Omaha.
In #1 singles, Adam Kamrath of CHS fell to ninth-seeded Kyle Givens of Lincoln East 6-1, 6-2.
In #2 singles, the Discoverers Connor Wiehn was defeated by number-10 seed Justin Ye of Millard West 6-0, 6-0.
The Columbus High #1 doubles pairing of Alexander Larson and Colin Flyr was also beaten 6-0, 6-0 by the fourth-seeded team from Lincoln Southeast.
And the Discoverers’ #2 doubles team of Landen Hastreiter and Drew VunCannon fell 6-1, 6-4 to another unseeded pair from Bellevue West.
