Boys Hoops Subdistricts, CHS Girls District on the Air
Brackets were released by the NSAA yesterday for boys basketball subdistricts next week.
The C1-5 subdistrict games at CHS will be aired on 93.5 The Hawk. In that tourney’s opener next Monday, number 4 seed Scotus will meet fifth-seeded David City at 6 p.m. The winner will face number 1 seed North Bend Central, while next Tuesday’s other semifinal pits third-seeded Lakeview against number 2 seed Aquinas.
The four-team boys C2-7 subdistrict starts with Tuesday’s semifinals at Aquinas. Top-seeded Shelby-Rising City faces 4-seed Nebraska Christian at 6, followed by number 2 seed Twin River against third-seeded Cross County. That tournament can be heard on KZ-100.
Also next Tuesday, the Columbus High girls will visit number 1 seed Papillion-La Vista in the A-6 District semifinals. It has a 6 p.m. tipoff time and will be broadcast on KLIR 101.
