Boone Central’s postseason will continue, while it’s the end of the line for the Scotus boys basketball team. 

Alex Christo scored a game-high 22 points as the Cardinals downed the Shamrocks 57-41 in a subdistrict final last night in Albion.  Senior Josh Faust had a team-high 12 points for Scotus, which wound up 8-15.  Boone Central is now 13-12 and will meet Auburn in a C1 district final with a trip to the boys state tournament on the line. 

Twin River upset Cross County 46-37 in Stromsburg.  The Titans are 13-12 and move on to face GICC in a C2 district final, while the Cougars did not make a district final despite having a 21-4 record.  North Bend Central fell to Wahoo 78-66, but the Tigers still qualified for a C1 district final matchup against Omaha Concordia. St. Paul edged Central City 74-71 and both teams will play in a C1 district final: the Wildcats face Logan View/Scribner-Snyder and the Bison battle Kearney Catholic.  Clarkson/Leigh was topped by Oakland/Craig 53-45, ending the Patriots’ season at 13-10. 

Howells-Dodge knocked off Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 53-49 with both clubs going to a D1 district final: the Jaguars face Mead, while the Bulldogs take on Perkins County.  Fullerton was downed by Central Valley 61-53, ending the Warriors’ campaign at 11-11.  Osceola bowed to Parkview Christian 70-53, but the Bulldogs will play Paxton in a D2 district final.  And Humphrey St. Francis rolled over Pender 71-45.  In a D2 district final, the Flyers face Elgin Public/Pope John.
