On KZ-100 tonight, Cross County hosts the boys basketball C2-8 sudbdistrict semifinals.
The Cougars bring a 19-4 record into their 6 p.m. game against Twin River. The Titans are 6-16. The second tilt tonight has Aquinas, at 10-11, meeting 8-12 Heartland.
In area boys subdistrict openers Monday night, Madison fell to Stanton 55-49, East Butler was downed by Nebraska Lutheran 50-32, Central Valley lost to Neligh-Oakdale 55-42 and Palmer was shaded by Hampton 47-43.
In girls action, Schuyler was defeated by Blair 54-16 in the B-5 subdistrict. The Warriors finished with a 5-18 record.
