Boys District Finals End Tonight; Saturday’s Scores

The district finals in boys basketball wrap up tonight, with the winners advancing to next week’s state tournament. 

In C1 action, Boone Central faces unbeaten and two-time defending state champion Auburn in Crete.  You can hear play-by-play on 93.5 The Hawk at 7 p.m.

On KZ-100, it’s also a 7 p.m. tipoff for Central City’s visit to Kearney Catholic.

Another C1 matchup tonight has North Bend Central at Omaha Concordia.

Twin River visits GICC in a C2 district final.  That 7 p.m. contest will be aired on KLIR 101.

And In D1 tonight, Howells-Dodge hosts Mead.

In Saturday’s boys district finals, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family punched its ticket to the boys D1 state tourney with a 71-29 romp over Perkins County.  And two area D2 teams advanced to state: Humphrey St. Francis drubbed Elgin Public/Pope John 81-42 and Osceola topped Paxton 52-42.
