Both Scotus Basketball Teams Extend Holiday Tourney Title Streaks

The Columbus Holiday basketball tournament wrapped up on Monday with rivals Scotus and Lakeview squaring off in the girls and boys championship games. 

The Shamrocks downed the Vikings in both contests at Lakeview High, with the Scotus boys claiming their fifth straight holiday tournament title by rallying in the second half for a 59-46 victory.  The Shamrocks girls won their third consecutive holiday tourney crown with a 60-40 win.   

In the holiday tourney’s consolation games, Clarkson/Leigh defeated Schuyler in both.  The Patriots girls downed the Warriors 68-26, while the boys score was 55-28.
