Six was a lucky number last night for the Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds. They improved to 6-and-0 by posting a 6-0 home win over West Point.
Jordan Kracl and Jacob Sjuts combined on a two-hitter. Kracl allowed the two hits and two walks over five innings, striking out ten. Sjuts finished the shutout with four K’s over two scoreless frames.
In the second game at Pawnee Park Field, the Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors beat West Point 8-4.
Colton Korth finished the contest by pitching two-and-a-third scoreless innings. At the plate, he had a double and a walk, with one RBI and a run scored.
Ian Gibbs had two RBI and Caden Pelan scored two runs for Lakeview, as the Seniors upped their record to 4-3.
Lakeview’s clubs are off until next Tuesday, when they visit Albion.
