Both Lakeview Legion Teams Win League Tourney Openers

The top-seeded Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors shut out Wisner-Pilger/Howells-Dodge 4-0 last night.  The win at Pawnee Park Field came in the opening round of the Ralph Bishop League Senior tournament. 

Kolby Blaser and Krae Lavicky combined on a four-hitter as Lakeview improved to 14-0.  Lakeview will host No. 5 seed Oakland-Craig in tomorrow’s quarterfinals.  It will start around 8 p.m., following the 5:30 game between West Point and Pender. 

In the Junior tourney, the fifth-seeded Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds beat No. 4 seed Oakland-Craig 11-2 in five innings on Saturday evening in Pender.  Lakeview visits No. 1 seed Arlington tonight at 8 p.m.
