Both of Humphrey’s boys’ basketball teams will be playing in next week’s state tournament, while two other area clubs fell in district finals last night. 

In C1, Aquinas bowed to Auburn 58-35. The Monarchs wound up 13-12, while Auburn extended its winning streak to 33 games. Twin River finished 16-10 after BRLD ran its win string to 49 games with an 82-52 victory over the Titans in a C2 district final. 

Defending D1 state champ Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family will be back in Lincoln. The Bulldogs defeated Elmwood-Murdock 78-43. And in D2, St. Francis improved to 25-0 and will seek an eighth state championship after a 64-18 romp over Giltner.
