Bluejays Win on Road But Lose Nembhard for Year

The Creighton men’s basketball team won its sixth straight game last night, but lost guard Ryan Nembhard for the rest of the season.

During the Bluejays’ 81-78 win at St. John’s Nembhard suffered an injury to his right wrist.  He’s expected to undergo surgery in the coming days.  The Jays point guard averaged 11.3 points and a team-leading 4.4 assists per game.

CU’s win upped its record to 19-8 overall, 11-5 in the Big East.  The Bluejays will visit number-11 Providence on Saturday night.
