Bluejays Shock Huskers With Ninth Inning Rally

In college baseball, Creighton rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth to stun Nebraska 6-5 last night.

The Bluejays only had two singles in their decisive last at-bat, but benefited from a sacrifice bunt, a batter hit by a pitch, a sacrifice fly and two wild pitches.  The second wild pitch allowed Nolan Clifford to score the winning run.

The victory upped the Jays’ record to 8-7 and gave CU its seventh win in the last eight meetings against NU.  The Huskers fell to 11-7-1.

Creighton will host Minnesota in a pair of games Friday and Saturday.  Nebraska opens Big Ten play by entertaining Illinois in a three-game set this weekend.
