Bluejays Men Fall at Providence, Women Downed by DePaul

The Creighton men’s basketball club fell at 11th-ranked Providence 72-51 on Saturday.
The Friars claimed their first-ever Big East regular season title, while the Bluejays had a six-game winning streak snapped. CU is 19-9, 11-6 in the Big East. The Jays will host UConn on Wednesday.
On Sunday, the Creighton women suffered a 90-84 loss to DePaul to spoil Senior Day for the Bluejays. CU finished 20-8, 15-5 in the Big East to earn the number 3 seed in this week’s conference tournament.
