Bluejays Help U.S., Canada to 3-0 Starts in U19 World Cup
The U.S. and Canada each finished group play with 3-0 records at the U19 Basketball World Cup on Tuesday, as two Creighton freshmen continued their quest for a gold medal.
Ryan Nembhard started his third straight game for Canada and finished with 17 points and eight assists in an 85-56 rout of Senegal. He added four rebounds and four steals in 27 minutes. The U.S. defeated Australia 87-66, as Ryan Kalkbrenner had four points, four rebounds and an assist in about 10-and-a-half minutes.
Team USA is number 1 in the U19 rankings, while Canada is number 2.
