Bluejays Earn Number 5 Seed in NCAA Men’s Tourney

The Creighton men’s basketball team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Bluejays were pounded by Georgetown 73-48 in the Big East tournament championship game Saturday night. CU learned during the NCAA Tournament Selection Show Sunday evening it is the number 5 seed in the West.
Creighton will meet 12th-seeded UC Santa Barbara on Saturday in Indianapolis. The Jays are making their sixth appearance in the tourney in the past 10 years, while the Gauchos are in the dance for the first time since 2011.
Saturday’s game will tip at 2:30 p.m. and be televised on truTV.
