Columbus High’s football team took a 21-0 halftime lead en route to a 28-14 victory at rival Norfolk last night.
Liam Blaser had 16 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown. Blaser also caught a 19-yard touchdown pass and had an interception on defense for the Discoverers. Nebraska recruit Ernest Hausmann had five catches for 90 yards, including two long receptions that helped Columbus overcome 110 yards worth of penalties.
The Discoverers evened their record at 1-1. They’ll host Lincoln North Star next Thursday.
