Bison Eliminated by Jeffs at State Softball Tourney

Central City bowed out of the Class C state softball tournament in Hastings today. 

The Bison were downed by number-2 seed Fairbury 11-1 in three-and-a-half innings. 

Central City came into the tourney as the number-8 seed, but upset top-seeded GACC 6-4 yesterday morning.  The Bison fell to number-5 seed Kearney Catholic 11-1 in four innings Wednesday evening. 

After going 1-2 at state, Central City wound up with an overall record of 23-12.
