As the Big Ten continues its silence in the wake of criticism and questions as to why it pulled the plug on fall football just six days after releasing a revised fall schedule, the Associated Press has done some math on how many games have been scrubbed by COVID-19.

A total of 3,114 football games in the NCAA’s three divisions have been canceled or postponed because of the pandemic.

That includes 496 games in the Football Bowl Subdivision, which includes the Big Ten and Pac-12 that are not playing football this fall.

Another 101 games between FBS teams and Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) clubs are off.
