When it comes to having the college football season kick off on time this fall, the news seems to be less optimistic in Nebraska’s current conference than what’s being said in its previous league.

Not one of the 14 schools in the Big Ten can say for sure they’ll have students back on campus this fall.  That step is widely believed to be needed to resume football and other sports.

However, all 10 schools in the Big 12 expect their campuses to be open in the fall.

And all but one of the 14 schools in the Southeastern Conference plan to reopen their campuses for the fall semester.  Vanderbilt is the only SEC school that hasn’t announced its plans.

Nationally, there are 130 major college football teams.  The football season is slated to begin August 29th, though Big 12 teams don’t open play until the following week.
