A late drive by Nebraska came up short – like so many other Husker drives on Saturday – in a 21-13 loss at Northwestern.

NU suffered its second loss to open the season despite compiling 442 yards of total offense and 28 first downs.  The Big Red made several trips to the red zone, but managed just 13 points.

After the game, Nebraska coach Scott Frost gave a “ton of credit” to Northwestern, but also called the low point total “inexcusable” and put the responsibility on himself.

The Huskers are slated to host Penn State this Saturday.  Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.  The pre-game show starts at 6 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 10:30 a.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
