Bell Tosses No-Hitter as Columbus Seniors Win at Albion

Jarret Bell fired a six-inning no-hitter Friday, leading the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors to an 11-0 win at Albion.

Bell walked one batter and hit one with a pitch, while notching six strikeouts and throwing 54 of his 77 pitches for strikes.  The victory came in the first round of a tournament and evened Cornerstone’s record at 1-1 on the young season.

Columbus had 12 hits, with leadoff batter Keiton Watchorn delivering three hits and three RBI.  Connor Cameron, who hit right behind Watchorn in the lineup, had two hits including a double and drove in two runs.  Carter Renteria was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs, while Bentley Willison blasted a solo homer.
