Batenhorst, Two Other NU Volleyball Players, Lift USA

Three Nebraska volleyball players helped Team USA go 3-0 in pool play at the U20 World Championships this weekend.  The trio of Husker freshmen – Ally Batenhorst, Lindsay Krause and Lexi Rodriguez – are among 12 players representing the United States.

The U.S. defeated Russia on Friday, Thailand on Saturday and Turkey on Sunday to win Pool C.

In yesterday’s sweep of Turkey, Batenhorst led the Americans in kills for the third straight match, finishing with 11 kills on .308 hitting.  She had nine kills in a sweep of Thailand and 16 kills in a four-set win over Russia.
