Baseball Weekend Recap For Nebraska, Creighton

In college baseball, Nebraska rallied to defeat Northwestern 11-5 on Saturday.  The Huskers trailed 5-2 entering the bottom of the seventh, but scored nine runs over their final two innings at the plate.  The Huskers improved to 25-11. 

Sunday’s series finale was canceled, leaving NU with a two-game weekend sweep.  Nebraska travels to Indiana this weekend for a four-game pod with the Hoosiers and Ohio State. 

Creighton posted a 3-1 win at Seton Hall on Sunday.  The victory earned the Bluejays a split of the four-game series.  CU is 21-11, including a 13-4 mark in the Big East.  Creighton will play its final series of the season at home when the Jays welcome Xavier to TD Ameritrade Park for four games, starting Thursday.
