Baseball: Huskers Lose Series at Maryland, Bluejays Get Swept
Nebraska’s baseball team was pummeled at number-23 Maryland yesterday, falling 20-5.
The Huskers Max Anderson slugged his 36th career home run to move into a tie for eighth all-time in program history. NU dropped two of three games in the series, slipping to 10-8 in the Big Ten.
Meanwhile, Creighton’s bats faltered for a third straight game, as Xavier completed a sweep with a 3-1 win Sunday. The Bluejays scored two runs in the series, which they began in first place in the Big East standings but ended in third, 2.5 games behind UConn.
