Nebraska’s Dalano Banton and Creighton’s Marcus Zegarowski were both second-round picks in last night’s NBA Draft.  Banton was taken with the 46th overall selection by his hometown Toronto Raptors.  Three picks later, Zegarowski was chosen by the Brooklyn Nets.

Banton, who averaged 9.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game last year, became the 28th Husker drafted in program history.  The 6-foot-9 guard is the seventh NU player selected in the first two rounds.

Zegarowski is the second Creighton product ever drafted by the Nets franchise, joining Kyle Korver who was picked 51st in 2003.  As a junior last season, the 6-foot-2 guard averaged 15.8 points per game en route to First-Team All-Big East honors.
