As on the Field, RB Johnson Reverses Course on Transferring

Nebraska’s Emmett Johnson is a shifty running back on the field and now off it as well.

Just a few days after announcing he’d enter the transfer portal, Johnson reversed course.  He shared a video on X over the weekend saying simply, “I’m back.”

The redshirt sophomore rushed for 523 yards this season, with 239 yards coming in the Huskers’ final three games.  On the season, Johnson set career highs with 35 catches for 262 yards.  In NU’s bowl-clinching win over Wisconsin, he totaled 198 yards of offense.

Nebraska accepted an invitation Sunday to play in the Pinstripe Bowl against Boston College.  It’s slated for Saturday, December 28th at Yankee Stadium.  Kickoff is at 11 a.m. with the pregame starting at 7 a.m. on KJSK and at 10:30 a.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
