Cecilia Arndt of Scotus won a medal, while Abby Brodersen of Boone Central won a state title today in the Class C girls state golf tournament at Elks Country Club. 

Arndt topped her opening round 86 by one stroke today as the Shamrocks freshman finished at 27-over and in ninth place. 

The Cardinals senior Brodersen, who entered today’s final round tied for the lead with Cozad junior Lynzi Becker, fired a 78 to finish at 11-over, 155.  Becker carded an 80 for a 13-over total and earned second. 

Alaina Dierman of Scotus came within five spots and five strokes of medaling.  The Shamrocks junior shaved six strokes off her opening round 97 and finished in 20th place. 

In the team scoring, Boone Central finished eighth, one spot ahead of Scotus.
